Melanoma Tas is committed to safeguarding your privacy and all steps are taken to ensure your privacy is maintained through our website, email and personal contact. To access our services Melanoma Tas will require you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, your phone number and if required your emergency support contact details

Melanoma Tas may use information about you to customise and improve user experience on our website. There will nevertheless be NO information deliberately placed on our website that allows you to be personally identified by a member of the public using the site.

Your name, phone number, email address, and other personal information that you have supplied to us will only be used for internal communication purposes between members of Melanoma Tas administration.  That communication will be made on a confidential basis.

Personal information such as postal or e-mail may be used to alert you of upcoming events or additional services where available.

3. Volunteer Members

Volunteer members authorise us to collect, use and disclose their personal volunteer information for the purposes of establishing, managing or ending a volunteer relationship.

This authorisation extends to:

  • Determining eligibility for volunteer work. This will  include verifying qualifications, work history and personal references;
  • For establishing training and development requirements;
  • Complying with directions of Board;
  • Complying with applicable laws and funding bodies, if required. (e.g. Police check, Criminal background checks); and
  • Assessing performance issues.

 

4. Access to records containing personal information

Individuals have a right to access their own personal information that is in the possession or control of Melanoma Tas, subject to some exceptions.

If we refuse a request in whole or in part, we will provide the reasons for the refusal. In some cases where exceptions to access apply, we may withhold some information and provide you with the remainder of the record.

Like many web sites, the Melanoma Tas website uses cookies to gather and retain your personal contact details. All steps are taken to ensure your information is kept in the strictest of confidence.
